Dakota Dunes, S.D. – November 24, 2015 – Tyson Fresh Meats and its employees have made a record donation pledge to the United Way of Siouxland. Including team member pledges, a company match, as well as various fund raisers, the company’s pledge for the coming year is $426,956, which surpasses last year’s total by more than $33,500.
The company asks its team members to make a difference in the communities they live by contributing to United Way and matches 25 percent of each employee’s contributions. These gifts will help United Way carry out its work of mobilizing resources to effectively meet needs around education, financial stability and health in Siouxland.
More than 3,600 team members from Dakota Dunes, S.D.; Dakota City, Neb., and Sioux City, Iowa, participated in the fundraising campaign, which ran from August 14 to November 4.

Tyson Fresh Meats has supported the local United Way for more than 30 years, with the money going to help fund 31 partner programs and services.
